'kaikal' tab


  1. write the notation-lessons using the notation panel and click the 'mudra' button.click the arrow button to see the position of the notation in the mridangam.
  2. this notation can be further used for other tabs

prastharam tab



  1. click the 'angam cherkkuka' button to add the anga of the kongol.
  2. provide suitable angam/aksharam in the blank area(second)
  3. select each prastharam from the listbox and press 'kandupidikkuka' button
  4. click the 'chollu parisodhikkuka' for kongol evaluation

thala-kriya pattika tab



  1. select the kriya from the list
  2. insert the count in the 'thavana' box
  3. click the 'cherkkuka' button
  4. a various of thalam is available in the list.select simply from the list ,the total kriya total can be seen under the table.
  5. some thala donot specifies their jaathi.so you should careful to select the appropriate thalam.

yathi tab



  1. insert / write the kongo using 'aksharankal' or direct keyboard or the previous notation
  2. choose the yathi as in a order (samam,gopucham,srothavaham,pipeelikam and mridangam) 
  3. click the 'udaharanam' to give the example
  4. if you select the gopucham after srothavaham it may give wrong results.so follow the order of yathi to make correct structure.
  5. you can copy the structure and paste it to the paadam or any other kongol writing area.

sruthi/thaalam tab



  1. select an appropriate sruthi from the list or type the frequency and press 'eenathilaakkuka'
  2. for setting the thalam,eneter the adisthana chollu of the thalam in the thalam box 
  3. press thaalamiduka->thudanguka
  4. you can control the kalam using the options or the slider
  5. to hear a sound from the computer,specify the speak letters/words to the appropriate boxes of adisthana aksharas. and click the 'sabdam'
  6. donot use x1,x2,x3.instead you can use 1,2,3. X for adi and V for veech
  7. sruthi cannot played while naadam is playing.so it is maintained as a new feature called 'ThampuruBox'.
  8. now the beat for thalam is set to the default beep of the system.you can change it to any other ringtones of your computer from the sound settings.


naadam tab


  1. enter or paste the solkkattu( or choose from the udaharanam and press the blue button) and press the blue button.
  2. you can create direct aksharas by clicking/playing the mridangam's head.
  3. press 'kongol nirnnikkuka'
  4. select vayikkuka
  5. select a layam(maadhyamam is suitable)
  6. insert a || at the last of the kongol for looping up of the lesson.
  7. you can remove a selected term from the playlist by clicking the right-red spot
  8. the number of letters can be seen on the top of the play list and it will help to determine which thalam is to be used and the calculation s for the prastharam.

paadam :


from the ivide ninnum pokam manu,select rachikkam and write the lesson individually or using the guide list
you can save or open existing (xfns) files that supports the players.
